Manage monitors with the API

Create, list, pause and remove uptime monitors programmatically.

  1. Create an API key

    In the app menu, open API keys and create a key for your account. Send it with each request.

  2. Create a monitor

    POST to /v1/uptime/monitors with a url, and optionally a name and expect_text.

  3. Read and update

    GET /v1/uptime/monitors lists your monitors with their state. PATCH /v1/uptime/monitors/{id} changes the name or pauses and resumes a monitor.

  4. Remove

    DELETE /v1/uptime/monitors/{id} stops watching the address. Domains have their own endpoints under /v1/domain-watches.
