Is Zinn® Uptime really free?
Yes. Every account can watch 3 web addresses, checked every 5 minutes, with email, Slack, Telegram and webhook alerts and free domain monitoring. There is no card and no time limit.
How often are websites checked?
Every 5 minutes on the free tier. While you have at least one pack, every address on the account is checked every minute.
How quickly will I be told a site is down?
A site is marked down after two confirmed failures on consecutive checks, so you hear within about two check intervals: roughly two minutes on one-minute checks.
How do you avoid false alarms?
Every failed check is repeated straight away with a fresh request, usually from a different location. Only failures that repeat count, and a bot-protection challenge is never counted as down.
Does the site have to be hosted with Zinn Digital®?
No. Zinn® Uptime watches any public web address, wherever it is hosted, with nothing to install.
Which alert channels are supported?
Email to every account member, plus Slack, Telegram and signed webhooks. SMS and phone calls are not offered.
Do you monitor SSL certificate expiry?
An invalid or expired certificate is reported as an outage with the reason, but we do not warn in advance of the expiry date. Domain expiry, on the other hand, is warned 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 day ahead.
Can I give my customers a public status page?
No. Zinn® Uptime does not offer customer-facing status pages. You can share the uptime figures and outage history from your account instead.
What does a pack cost?
$9 a month for 10 more addresses, and packs stack. Prices are shown in US dollars; the price in your currency is shown where available.
Can I pause monitoring during maintenance?
Yes. Pause a monitor before planned work and resume it afterwards; paused monitors send no alerts and keep their history.
